In 2016, MMLM launched its Clinical skills certification Program. Clinical skills are those but not limited to proper hand-washing and communication skills required during interactions with patients and other health professionals as part of patient care.

In 2017, MMLM launched its Servant Leadership certification program whose main goal is the development of volunteers to become leaders. The MMLM servant leader is developed to serve with joy and gladness in his heart.

Another facet of MMLM Servant Leadership is developing leaders who will focus on the needs of others before their own. Servant leaders grow leaders and difference-makers, not just followers. Developing the talents and capabilities of MMLM volunteers takes time, energy, and empathy. This is what separates MMLM as an institution from the rest of the non-profit world because it develops its volunteers to serve the community with a heart. The MMLM  Servant Leadership Program is a modular, face to face and online-based medium of instruction.

All MMLM volunteers are required to undergo Clinical Skills and Servant Leadership training prior to volunteering in the annual medical missions and the We Care Clinic. An annual recertification is also required.
